New York's
Infrastructure:
An Update on
Critical
Transportation and Infrastructure Projects
throughout the
region.
Construction
industry experts agree that the current financial downturn is severely
affecting future construction in New York City. Many projects are delayed
and heavy job loss in the construction industry is expected to continue.
Meanwhile, possible future government stimulus and investment in public
infrastructure may mean billions of dollars in construction spending and
infrastructure projects around the region are on the rise. New York's
Infrastructure will feature public and private developers who will
discuss capital budgets for infrastructure, the next frontier of bridges
and tunnels and major transit hubs on the horizon. Join us to develop a
better understanding of what to expect in 2012 as our region launches
into the next phase of new development of our public
infrastructure.

On October 27,
American Rights at Work and BALCONY will stage a New
York City seminar on Labor/ Management Cooperation.
The purpose of
the event is to shed light on the importance of business and unions
working together. In these times of adversity when unions and companies
are being pulled further apart, it is even more important that the
business community and unions come together to show the advantages of
collaboration.
BALCONY's (www.balconynewyork.com) purpose and the
work done by American Rights at Work (www.americanrightsatwork.org)
are even more
important in this tough political and economic climate.
Details to be
announced.
